ArgenOTC Updates Digital Asset Portfolio, Discontinues XRP Support Following Liquidity Assessment

ArgenOTC digital asset portfolio featuring Bitcoin, Ethereum and Tether following the discontinuation of XRP support

ArgenOTC updates its supported digital asset portfolio following a review of market liquidity and trading activity

ArgenOTC will discontinue XRP support on August 17 following a review of market liquidity, trading activity, and operational efficiency.

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA, August 13, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- August 14, 2026 — ArgenOTC, a digital asset trading support company focused on liquidity management and efficient cryptocurrency market access, today announced an update to its supported digital asset portfolio following an assessment of market liquidity, trading activity, and operational efficiency.

As part of its ongoing strategy to maintain a stable and reliable digital asset trading environment, ArgenOTC will discontinue support for XRP and remove the asset from its supported cryptocurrency portfolio effective August 17, 2026.

Previously, ArgenOTC supported four major digital assets: Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), and XRP. Following an internal review of market conditions, the company determined that XRP’s current trading volume and liquidity conditions made it increasingly difficult to provide consistent liquidity support while maintaining the service standards expected by its clients.

Following the portfolio adjustment, ArgenOTC’s supported digital assets will consist of Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Tether (USDT).

The company stated that the removal of XRP from its supported asset portfolio will not negatively impact customers who currently hold XRP balances on the platform. Customers who maintain XRP balances can contact the ArgenOTC operations team to request conversion of their XRP holdings into Argentine pesos (ARS) or other supported digital assets, including Bitcoin (BTC) and Tether (USDT).

ArgenOTC will provide conversion support to facilitate an orderly transition and minimize potential inconvenience for customers affected by the portfolio adjustment.

The company said the decision to discontinue XRP support was based primarily on current market liquidity conditions and operational considerations. ArgenOTC continues to monitor global cryptocurrency markets and evaluates supported assets based on factors including liquidity depth, trading activity, market accessibility, and long-term operational viability.

The removal of XRP represents a strategic portfolio adjustment rather than a broader change in ArgenOTC’s commitment to the digital asset industry.

As the digital asset market continues to develop, liquidity quality and reliable execution remain important factors for traders and market participants. ArgenOTC remains focused on strengthening its infrastructure, optimizing its supported asset portfolio, and providing stable digital asset trading support services.

The company will continue to review market trends and may make further adjustments to its supported digital asset portfolio in response to evolving market conditions and customer requirements.
